Flat roof done quickly and professionally, I could not wish for better, All rubbish removed and I even got my latch put back on my side gate. I could see it was a hard job on the roof. It was great and the colour looked good against my new garage door. Thanks everyone.
Thank heavens, at last. A roofer who explained technical concepts/solutions & pricing in everyday language, stuck to a schedule, arrived really well equipped, employed diligent, civilised workers & closely managed them, clearly had reliable supply lines, delivered structurally strong repairs with a lovely neat finish and promptly produced a well-written report and long warranty. Just great all-round service and professionalism. Highly, highly, highly recommended.
Just had the pleasure of using Alfies services (colne valley roofing & building ltd) and I highly recommend him. Price was fair, work was very professional and everything was left clean and tidy. Thanks Alfie for all your hard work 😊
Fixed and cleaned gutters I recently used Colne Valley Roofing for some gutter repairs and was very pleased with the work carried out. I have used them before and, once again, they were reliable, professional, and completed the job to a high standard. The work was done promptly, everything was left tidy, and communication throughout was excellent. I would happily recommend Colne Valley Roofing to anyone looking for a trustworthy roofing company.
quick quote, quick repair,
Good Job carried out quickly and well. Great to work with.
Rang Alfie on the Sunday and managed to get someone out by Tuesday to fix the problem. The guys that came were professional and very thorough/efficient. Would highly recommend for any roofing issues
Colne Valley Roofing helped us transform our bungalow. They replaced the roof, gutters and part of the fascia where the wooden supports along one side of the house were rotten. When Alfie discovered the rotten wood he explained this in clear terms, showed me a video and invited me to go up onto the ladder to see for myself. The team then replaced the rotten wood, repainted the bungalow, and pressure washed our patio and drive. It looks amazing - like a new house. The team were polite, responsive and helpful and went the extra mile for us in all sorts of ways. Would definitely recommend.
Very professional, courteous and hard working Team finished the job as described. I would recommend Alfie and the Team for any repair work to guttering or downpipe replacements.
quickly done, no problems with delivery and communication.
I waited two years to write my review so that I could check that the refurb Alfie did for us was fine. And it is. Just coming out of the wettest winter I can remember for a long time and the house is dry as a bone. No leaks, nothing. Considering that Alfie's lads worked in stormy, freezing conditions back in Feb 24, it was amazing that it turned out as well as it did. Very grateful.
Had my gutters cleaned with them , very clean tidy work , definitely recommend
We had both our main house flat roof refelted ready for the winter and our shed roof replaced and refelted, Alfie and his team were punctual, arrived at the agreed time, were incredibly polite, worked tirelessly through the heat to complete job before bad weather was due. Would definitely recommend Colne Valley Roofing they are a great company and kept us fully informed throughout all the works. Great job done top marks 👏
Highly recommend this company, very good repair, efficient & reasonable. & a nice chap too.
It was a pleasure doing business with this company. He work was amazing very neat and tidy. My gutters look amazing. I’m so happy with the work is done.

Professional company with good communication and completed work at a fair price. Would use again.
I have just had the pleasure of using colne valley to carry out a new roof on our property. Alfie was very professional and informative through out, there were no hidden costs and we are very happy with the final result. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable professional service.
The work was completed very promptly to a high standard. All rubbish was removed. The fee was reasonable.
So pleased with all the work carried out by Alfie & his team. Alfie was very helpful & gave us lots of different options & advice to suit our budget. We had the roof cleaned, tiles repaired & new PVC soffits/fascia installed. He kept us well-informed throughout, contacted us in good time when snow affected the work schedule, and was accommodating to other work going on at our property. Alfie & the team were friendly, hard working & polite. We are so pleased with the finished work - it has really given our house a facelift! Would definitely use again & wouldn't hesitate to recommend!
Alfie and his team were excellent from start to finish. Excellent communication throughout the job, turned up on time, professional throughout and did an excellent job. Very happy with the end result.
From start to finish the communication with Alfie was species to none. The courtesy and respect were 5 star as was the quality of work! The speed in which the work was carried out was incredible. Even see jobs that were not part of the quote were carried out. I highly recommend.
Job for to my satisfaction
Alfie from Colnevalley and his team were fantastic. They got quite a major job done in record time, because Alfie put a large team on it. There was no loud music and everyone was very respectful of me and the property. They also tidied up really well, which I wasn’t expecting! Would not hesitate to recommend.
This company has replaced old guttering and installed a new water butt at my property. From quotation to finished work I was kept informed of all that was being done and the cost. At no time was I pressured to have other work done that had not been discussed fully. The estimate was fully listed and length of guarantee given. Work was efficient and tidy and all who worked on the property were friendly and polite. I can't think of a negative thing to say about them and I would highly recommend this company to others wanting roofing work. In future they will be my first go to.
Very professional took a lot of pride in there work, left the property clean Would highly recommend
The team was always very polite and honest from the beginning and throughout the job. Not trying to pull a fast one with my dad and doing what they could to put right an old floor (felt roofing) to an external balcony, and surround to reduce leaking. They tried to minimum the works to be carried out and in turn keep the cost down. Alfie never turned down a phone call from me to check up on the job from a distance. Would recommend.
Local guy, very friendly and reliable. Just gets on with the job, quickly and efficiently.
I found the workers to be very efficient, hardworking and very professional. All work men courteous and obliging I would recommend this company to anyone Also very reasonable
Gutter clean really friendly kind reliable guy really good job
Always worked hard, were polite with good intention's to please the customer . After care has been very good so far with follow up visits to fix small teething problems. Also worked around my neighbours and the inclement weather in March this year.
I hired this company to clean my gutters out a couple of days ago. And within half an hour of the phone call they was here willing to help. Alfie Was beyond polite and helped me with some other bits and pieces I need doing Fast and reliable and Respectful Highly recommended!
Alfie and team did a great job repairing our roof after a recent storm. They were quick, flexible and efficient. Great comms throughout, would highly recommend.
We reached out to Alfie after a previous builder did a terrible job replacing our roof and caused all sorts of issues. It's been a much more complicated job than any of us expected, but Alfie, James and the team have been so supportive, reassuring and understanding throughout, which we are very grateful for.
I need emergency repaired and on my roof and my guttering he was so quick to come out to me
My partner and I have just had the pleasure of having our roof repairs done with colne valley. The service was very professional from start to finish. Alfie was very informative and punctual throughout and was always happy to answer or help with any queries we had and discuss what options there was. We needed some tiles changed, some general roof repairs and he even kindly offered us a complimentary gutter clean. We are very happy with the service and highly recommend. Thank you Mr and Mrs Baker
Gutters cleaned and down pipes fixed. Would recommend
Top quality company excellent work highly recommend
I’d like to thank colne valley roofing and building ltd for a prompt and efficient job, the team were very polite and hardworking they just cracked on with what they had to do. Excellent work all round from them! I have already passed their details on to my friends.
Alfie was extremely polite and professional and done a great job in changing some broke tiles on our roof, thank you very much, would highly recommend!
Alfie and his team were amazing. I had several tradies coming to the house or promising to come and have a look. However, several of them did not bother to show up and send any apology at all. Alfie was great from the first message. He came to have a look as promised. He was communicating clearly and quickly. The original quote double due to finding more issues once they got up on the roof. However, Alfie was honest, showing videos photos immediatelly. I would highly recommended him as he is knows how to communicate and he has manners which most of tradies just do not have at all.
Alfie's team was excellent throughout. Alfie attended to quote within 24 hours of me calling. The scope of work changed during the process due to matters uncovered but this was communicated early. The work was done quickly and to a high standard.
Alfie and his team carried out the work extremely professionally from start to finish highly recommended will use colne roofing services ltd again.
Work all carried out efficiently and as fast as weather allowed. Good value compared with other quotes.
This team are reassuringly good at what they do. They removed and de-mossed all the roof tiles, old faulty felting and rotten battens underneath what was a leaking roof. They efficiently installed the new roof, reusing the cleaned tiles without breaking any, and left the place perfectly clean, and of course now watertight! They delivered as quoted, and were friendly and engaging throughout. I am delighted to recommend them most highly. Thank you guys!
An excellent team and very hard to find these days. Alfie takes enormous care with clients in terms of communication and notification of work that needs doing, is highly professional and knowledgable. He’s backed up by an excellent team of roofers who are conscientious and thorough. The team are not just roofers - they can call on resources of all kinds (apart from plumbing or electricians) to take on most jobs, give a fair, accurate and non greedy assessment with customer in mind, and offer professional contractual terms and agreements. A real gem in a sea of cowboys.
Alfie and his team were great, must give a mention to Tommy who led the team that did the work. The job was carried out on time to a high standard, five days start to finish, even the scaffolding was removed the day they finished. Really pleased with the end result, thank you.
Excellent service. Helpful and efficient.

Alfie and his team are fantastic beyond belief. Alfie is a complete gentleman who gave us measured and honest advice throughout the process which is rare these days. We felt in safe hands throughout from start to finish and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and the team to all our friends, family and colleagues. If you are needing roof work don’t hesitate to contact them- 10/10!
Alfie, is an incredibly friendly and professional guy. Quotes fairly and gets the job done on time and to spec. I would highly recommend him.
Alfie and his team were very good. The quality of the finish is exceptional and although they were extremely hampered by weather conditions they were dogmatic about being back on site whenever they could. We had an extremely difficult roof due to 2 dorma windows which have had design faults by the builder since new. They replaced the whole roof and with those two dormas, would not accept any payment coming back 3 times, twice over the same weekend to ensure they were watertight. We had cowboys in the year before that didn't fix the problem, and in contrast, brilliant! Highly recommended.

The work done was a whole new roof. The company was punctual with fantastic communication . The job was done in the time frame specified and they came back to tidy up and left the whole area spotless. I would recommend this company to anyone for any job doing. All in all I am extremely pleased with the whole experience and would highly recommend Colne Valley Roofing.
Brilliant from start to finish. Assessed the issue quickly and gave us a series of options on ways they could resolve the issue. 5 stars.
Friendly very good workmanship extremely Tidy pricey considering time spent at property but would definitely recommend
I cannot recommend this company highly enough, the manager assessed the works and provided a quote which was great value for the work to be carried out. The company arrived on the agreed day to complete the works. The whole team were polite and worked hard. There was some additional works needing repairing which came to light on the job, I was pleasantly surprised that the company did the extra repairs without charge. I was left with a safe and secure roof which is fantastic. I feel reassured that there is a roofing company in my local area that I can trust tha provide a professional service.
Friendly and helpful at all tiimes. Took pictures on the roof to show me what needed doing and explained all the options and costs. Got on with it quickly, as promised.
I would highly recommend the team, top job, quiet and punctual excellent workmanship
Alfie and his team started by being very professional and decent when visiting our home to quote the job. After accepting they quote, they carried on the job AS AGREED, making sure EVERY LITTLE DETAIL was addressed; done properly and always showing me around on how things were done. At one instance I wasnt happy with a small part and they quickly fixed it in the way I wanted. They went beyond what was agreed and even fixed other issues not in the job. ABSOLUTE RECOMMEND! VERY PROFESSIONAL , Decent and Trustworthy! As a Family we Thank you Alfie and Your Great Team!
Aaron knew exactly what he was doing, talked me through the job step by step and then delivered to an excellent Finnish. I was so grateful to find someone of his skill set as previous companies I'd spoken to where unable to carry out the work due to the difficulty of the job. Great work thanks Aaron
Alfie attended to an emergency same day I called him. He inspected the problem and fixed it right away. Honest, friendly, very knowledgable. Explained everything so well and presented all options clearly, no pressure or exaggerations like others roofers who we have experienced with. 10/10 service. Thank you very much.
Colne roofing gave a competitive estimate Their standard of work was excellent and were courteous and get at all times
Quick efficient good job done
Aaron was excellent, he was polite, efficient and the work was very good. He gave me tips on where I could save money and explained everything to me. There were no hidden costs. I would highly recommend him for any work.
We had a builder do work on the roof who left the job part way without completing. We spoke with Colne Valley Roofing and despite the urgent need to get the job done, they were able to make time to fit us into their busy schedule. They came and assessed the job, spoke with us and were very precise and clear on what they would do and explained all costs in detail. We were very happy with the way they worked, the professionalism and quality of work carried out. Also identified extra work at no charge. Would definitely use again in future without hesitation.
Excellent communication. Excellent work. Would well recomend.
Aron did a fantastic job. The heavy rain was going everywhere except down the drain pipe until he sorted it. Highly recommended.
Alfie’s work is first class, he is very friendly and polite, nothing is too much trouble and he makes sure his work is done to a high standard. The site was left clean, items were placed back where they were before work began and waste taken away. I would not hesitate to recommend Alfie to friends and family.

Aron gave us a clear idea of what was needed, arrived when he said he would, and he and his team did a wonderful job. Cleared up after themselves too. We only found one stray nail on our drive! Very efficient - would recommend. Thank you.
All work carried out as quoted, the start date was delayed due to atrocious weather, but Aron did ring to apologise for the delay.
Good job done.
Great work , 1st rate job Very pleased with all aspects of workmanship
Matthew and Alfie worked exceptionally hard in atrocious weather. Alfie communicated effectively and provided updates throughout the works. He explained what was found and provided options to enable us to choose without pressure. They tidied up each day and were very easy to have around the house and did no impose. We are delighted with the works we had undertaken and would recommend Colne Valley Home Improvements.
We have just had colne valley paint our fascia boards and what a superb job they have done. Alfie is very polite, professional and everything was left immaculate. Will definitely use his services again in the future
Would like to just say a little thank you to Alfie at colne valley. Unfortunately we were victims of cowboy roofing work, Alfie turned what was a nightmare into exactly what we wanted. The service was professional from start to finish. We were kept Informed throughout and unlike the other company the price we agreed stayed. If your looking for a trustworthy tradesman, then we would highly recommend them We can’t thank you enough guys
Alfie and his team did a great job of pressure-washing my driveway and paths. Care and attention taken not to damage my property. Quick and efficient workmanship. Cleaned up site after they were finished the work. Highly recommended.
I am happy with the results. They repeatedly checked with me to ensure that I was happy. They quickly altered something that I wanted changing. The garage and drive look good. The firm is large enough that they were able to bring in people with different skills to do each job.
Alfie and his team did an excellent job on my leaking fibre glass flat roof. They were extremely professional and I would definitely call them again for future repairs.
The work was completed in a timely fashion. All were extremely polite and very professional
Great job, kept us informed, did the job quickly with no disruption - would definitely recommend
The work was performed by a highly competent team who had extensive and detailed knowledge of their trade. Despite using their experience to determine how they should proceed we were given options and they were open to suggestions which they implemented where possible. To us re-roofing the house was a stressful experience which was alleviated by the reassurances received. The work was carried out on a timely basis despite some inclement weather. We fully recommend Colne Valley Roofing.
Work has been completed to a high standard and aesthetically looks great.
I would recommend colne valley roofing to anyone. It was an excellent service and value for money. The price was excellent and the quality of the work was amazing. Everything was left to a high standard and I was kept informed on all aspects of the work completed. Aaron knows his stuff and was a genuine, conscientious and reliable tradesman. You could not beat him on price and quality of work.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough. The company attended the same day of contacting them and provided a quote the following day with photographs to highlight the damage. The quote was very reasonable. The work was started on the agreed day and completed without any fuss or problems. The workmen were polite and left the site clean at the end of each day. On completion it is evident that the work is great quality and I have had no problems since the work was completed. From start to finish this company fulfilled all they agreed to do and did it in a professional and polite manner.
Fully agreed in advance the work to be carried out. Completed to a high standard. Premises left clean and tidy afterwards. Asked them back to carry out some additional building work which again was completed to a good standard.

Was pleased with the attention to detail Alfie took listening to what we wanted and he came up with attractive, practical solution that we are very happy with. Only quibble was some of the materials was a delay at his usual trade account supplier, so had to provide some payment early for materials from alternative supplier but this worked out ok so job could be completed.

Having used the same company previously to clean our roof when we first moved in, I was overly impressed with the professionalism, punctuality and cost quoted - I had no hesitation therefore in approaching them again to undertake the recent work that was required. The initial assessment of the problem was undertaken in a timely and efficient manner with a quote and repair date provided extremely quickly. Excellent service. Very polite, keeps you informed, shows work as he goes along. Did extra repairs.
Did a very good job. Also had front window frames, bay window lead trim and tiles under upper bay window painted and now along with the clean roof, the house now stands out smartly amongst the other houses in my street. Complimentary note: I had previously asked for the upstairs front window sills to be painted and for which I was quoted for. But before the work was carried out I noticed the hardwood window frames needed painting as well. However not only was I NOT charged for the additional paintwork but the downstairs window frame and sill was painted at no extra charge. Very pleased.
Did a great job on the hottest day of the year without complaint!
Could not fault the crew that were on site all day. Every day whatever the weather. Pleased with job.
